Pet Best makes determinations before all medical facts are known
See the Review I filled out during survey.... no good results. Vet can't make clear and Accurate medical decision's because dog moves to much broken teeth MAY BE at issue and ear problem MAY be also present maybe dog bite on to rock...

Riff’s eating socks, again!
Our first family dog is now 70 lbs at 7 months old. He’s adorable, thanks to Trupanion! I love the peace of mind that his health care emergencies won’t break our monthly budget. In the last four months, he’s been to vet hospitals for emergency ingestion treatments 5 times. The Trupanion website makes filing claims a breeze, and repayment has come via electronic transfer to my bank account within a week (they take a few days to review claims). One hospital visit involved an overnight stay with an IV and multiple tests to rule out bowel obstruction. Trupanion has payed out 90% of all charges, except normal well care (and “Emergency Exams” by the vet which is in the contract somewhere that I wasn’t aware of). The staff at Trupanion have always been upbeat and supportive! Thanks for the great advice to start with a zero deductible policy for the first years of new ownership, especially for ingestions (where each incident is a new covered event). So far Trupanion has paid out twice what I’ve paid in premiums, and the ability to tell the vets to give Riff (a Standard Bernedoodle) any treatment they feel is indicated without hurting my budget is so appreciated. Riff spends a lot less time bellyaching and more time giving immense hugs!

Very bad, shady business
I enrolled my ShiTzu at 7 weeks old. All 6, except one, claim have been rejected due to prior conditions. How could this be? Now 7 months old, would have I waited that long to treat him for any health reason? Furthermore, you cannot reach anyone by phone. These people are crocks, think careful before wasting your money with these people.

Absolutely horrible
Absolutely horrible. My puppy got sick, was throwing up and lethargic so I took her to a clinic. They did a bunch of tests to determine her stomach was inflamed and gave her an iv and prescription food. They said it could be from the post spay meds or ingesting something by accident. The cost of the visit was over $900 and they covered zero. What’s the point of pet insurance if they will not help when she’s sick and needs to go to the animal hospital? Oh and it took over two months for them to look at the claim. Absolutely horrible I do not recommend wasting your money as they are stingy and will fight to not cover. I had already spent about $150 on the couple months I had the insurance.

Best fast service ever
My boy was diagnosed with Diabetes 3/1/21 and the 1st week I put 3 different claims in. After My deductible each claim was processed and paid within 1 week from the day I submitted it. Right now he goes once a week and each week I get 80% back. The only thing that hasn't been covered was the special food which I knew wouldn't be. If you are looking for Insurance for your pets I highly recommend Pets Best! Thank you for your great service!

Luckily I haven't had to make a claim yet but I have a new French Bulldog and the breed is highly prone to medical issues. I have peace of mind that if/when something happens, I can give my dog the best care.
