No logic and cookie cutter replies. Awful service
Omitted some names and other information such as account information from the copied email on purpose. Since I can’t copy and paste a picture, I’m pasting the reply that my wife received from the company. A few things to clarify here. One, we are aware of the exam fee policy. Two, pannus is the eye condition that our dog was diagnosed with not our dog’s name. But you know, it’s a bit too much to ask for a personalized response as opposed to an automated message that declines you without even bothering to understand the situation. This immediately told us that they didn’t even bother to understand the situation but rather shot back a cookie cutter, automated reply. Regarding the exam fee policy comment. Here is what we were trying to explain but naturally nobody wanted to listen. Pannus, for those unaware, is a lifelong condition. Treatment involves specialist visits and eye drops to prevent it from progressing further. I understand the company’s position on not being able to cover every exam fee; however, this is a different situation. It is a lifelong condition that will require regular visits. We aren’t trying to get coverage for every exam fee for normal vet visits. This is an exam that is necessary as part of the lifelong treatment of the condition. We aren’t taking her there because we have nothing to do and are just checking her eyes to make sure. In order to keep the condition in check, she requires regular vet visits which, you guessed it, require an actual exam. It is literally a part of the condition’s treatment. But as the title says, the company is only able to reply with auto generated emails and cookie cutter emails. I recommend you stay away!! Email reply follows below: Subject: RE: Claim 6511701 Hi , I hope this email finds you and Pannus healthy and well. I want to help clarify why we choose not to include exam fees in our coverage. Our policy was designed to help protect your finances while you give the care your pet needs for unexpected injuries and illnesses. An exam fee is commonly the flat administrative cost you can budget for each time you take your pet to the veterinarian, whether it’s a wellness appointment or your pet needs treatment. This fee can also differ greatly from one veterinary clinic to another. We’re here to help protect you from veterinary costs associated with injuries and illnesses. By not including exam fees in our coverage, we can better protect you from unexpected, costly expenses while keeping our prices fair. Hopefully this answers your question. If you have any others, feel free to respond to this email or give us a call anytime—we’re here 24/7. All the best to you and the Family!

They saved Clementines life, thank you
I cannot say enough about this company and how it's more than just a pet insurance company. I can't think of another vendor I've ever worked with in any industry that has been easier and better to work with than Healthy Paws. I first started working with them about 7 years ago for my bulldog Clementine. She has had many health issues and surgeries throughout the years. Claims are easy to fill and they are extremely fast too reimburse. Most recently we had an emergency situation with my bulldog came out of her normal boarding with trouble breathing. It got worse and worse throughout the day and I had to bring her to the ER. They immediately sedated her and gave me feedback that she needed emergency surgery and might not make it. In addition to that, they told me she was the most critical animal at the hospital and if I hadn't brought her in within the hour she probably would not have made it. It was a lot of money to go through this emergency surgery and the hospital needed about $2,500 right away to keep her going through the night. I gladly paid it and had the confidence that Healthy Paws would cover and reimburse me the 90% I had signed up for. I called them the next day after receiving the full estimate which was about $13,000. Health Paws jumped on the phone with me and went through all of the details directly with the animal hospital. They took care of the entire situation so that I didn't have to worry about anything. The surgery was a success, and we got Clementine home after a few days. When I called Healthy Paws to make sure everything worked out, I realized that not only had the hospital been paid in full, but they had also reimbursed me the money I overpaid originally on that night. They saved my dogs life. I signed up my second dog (Dakota) the minute we got her. There aren't many companies out there that I "love". I can safely say that I absolutely love healthy paws, and my family and I thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

Crooks
This company barely pays for anything and as your dog ages they pay for less and less. They are crooks and do not actually care about the animals but rather how much money they are going to make off you. There are so many better companies — to recommend a few ((pumpkin, spot, and lemonade)) all which cover more and have better customer service.

Unexpected Emergency
Very Quick. Like that I can submit the claim through my vet at the time of my visit. Covered me on a unexpected emergency. Money also can be deposited directly into your account. Great company.
