Healthpaws claim was simple in a time of much stress
Several months back my small dog was attacked by a big dog. The big dog bite and shook my dog like a chew toy. I took him to the ER immediately. My poor dog had 3 small lacerations, 1 major laceration, a cracked rib, and a bruised lung. A few days later a massive infection occurred due to the skin separating from the muscle during the attack and he went into surgery. He was healing well for the few days and the stitches split open due to the location of the laceration. So a couple of weeks later, it was decide he should go back into surgery to help heal the wound. My poor dog had been in and out the hospital at least a dozen time in less than a month. The stress and emotions I had every time he had to go into hospital was unimaginable but thankfully healthypaws was there to alleviate the monetary stress. The claim process was simple and quick. I think I received the check even before my CC bill was due. It was a huge relief that I had healthpaws. It allowed me to focus all my attention on my dog's recovery.

Buyer Beware
Purchased this insurance for my chihuahua and cocker spaniel in 2018. For $10,000 max coverage yearly with $500 deductible covered at 80% it was $61.20 for the Spaniel and $62.90 for the chihuahua. So apparently they have a new underwriter. The new price for the same exact coverage is now $111.96 for the Spaniel and $88.34 for the chihuahua!!! $75.30 more a month!!! A 62% increase!!! Oh and good luck getting them to pay a claim. You have to call in everything and fight every claim. If you don't everything is a pre-existing condition! Buyer BEWARE! Figo is a terrible!

Filing claims is unbelievably easy. I keep Pickle's file at my office and fax from there. I would, however, like a straight answer as to whether this insurance will cover cleaning her teeth so that they don't get so bad that they cause digestive problems. Your answer please.

Incredible to deal with and easy to submit claims
I did a ton of research on different pet insurance companies before I chose healthy paws 6 years ago. They have been incredible to deal with. Unfortunately, my pure bread dog had had many problems over the years which has led to several $2,000 - $3,000. The amount of vet problems she has had is crazy that it's almost laughable. Healthy Paws has always given me full reimbursement and never pushed back. Their customer support team is always helpful and it's very easy to submit a claim from your phone. I'm very thankful to them for helping me keep my very expensive dog healthy and happy. I've never had to make a tough choice about her care knowing that Healthy Paws will cover it. I highly recommend this insurance company.

Pay $$$, yet I am still doing the work...
Submitted a claim, then received a letter that the company needs more information. Contact the VET and she stated the bill is the information, as of today I am going in circles for a policy that I pay $700 + a year for. However the signup process was so easy!! I guess my major complaint is, the information I submit to the claim department has a phone number to the VET office, why do they not call and explain to them what more information they need.
