How Trupanion helped us.
We are so pleased with the quick response we received from Trupanion after we placed our claim. Our Daisy vomited several times over the course of the afternoon. We knew we needed to get it checked out. It was upsetting enough for our little 15 week old puppy to get sick without having to worry about how much it would cost us to pay the vet bill. She was checked out and kept overnight on IV fluids with a follow up check the following morning. We have had dogs in the past but never considered pet insurance. Our last precious dog was a Bichon who had a lot of allergy problems over the years that were controlled by expensive medicine. Our fears over having the same problem again (although our Daisy is a completely different breed) are what prompted us to look into pet insurance. We are now so thankful that we did. Our Daisy is now home and well, and Trupanion paid what they advertise toward our bill. Thank you Trupanion for living up to your word!

Trupanion is the Best!
I think most of us think to ourselves that our pet is healthy or young or we don't want to spend the extra money but I can tell you from experience that it is worth it. Nobody ever wants to have an ill pet, it is heartbreaking, but do yourself a favor and get insurance with Trupanion just in case. Every month buys me comfort knowing that my pet's health is covered. I recently had to take my sweet little cat to the emergency room. It was serious and very scary and very expensive. My otherwise healthy two and half year old cat has an anemia issue. It was hard to believe he was so sick and even harder to believe the hospital bill was so expensive. So grateful for Trupanion. Customer service is always great and after submitting the bill my claim was covered at 90%. Don't hesitate to get pet insurance. You may think you don't need it but will be so grateful that have it if you do. I have told many friends who have pets or are thinking of getting one to purchase pet insurance. Trupanion is the way to go. Thank you Trupanion.

Healthy Paws came through for us during an extremely scary time.
We have a Pug, and he was having an increasingly difficult time breathing, could not handle any heat or much exercise (even though he is young and at a very healthy weight), and oftentimes would gag or throw up from exertion. We discovered that Max's breed is prone to having these types of issues because of his breed, i.e. a hereditary condition. I Reviewed our insurance Healthy Paws policy and found that it did, in fact, cover hereditary conditions, but I was still unsure if the surgery would be covered. Our Max had the surgery, and the next day I submitted a claim. it was approved by the end of the day and we were reimbursed within 48 hours! I was happily shocked by how easy it was to submit the claim and how quickly we were reimbursed. I will be completely honest, I do feel like the monthly payment for our policy was a bit high and has increased 2x I believe, but I am so grateful that I purchased it and kept it through those increases and I will continue to be a Healthy Paws customer indefinitely.

Trupanion, insurance for your fur baby and there when you need them!
I am truly grateful for Trupanion. I would have never even thought about getting insurance for my fur baby prior to hearing about Trupanion. You don't realize how important it is until you really need it. We don't think of our fur babies as getting sick or hurt but it does happen and it's great to have and know there's pet insurance out here that cares just as much for our pets as we do! Thank you Trupanion!

Any Excuse To Avoid Paying
Started a Trapanion policy for my healthy 8 year old lab. My veterinarian submitted all requested records. Paid my premium every month. Two years later my dog developed an aggressive cancer and they refused payment because they deemed it a preexisting condition. If that's how you do business you need to be upfront with the customer at the time of the policy; not when you depend on the service you've paid for.

Terrible customer service and payout
Terrible customer service. Quick to take your premiums but slow to process claims. I kept it for a year and after two yearly checkups, vaccinations, bloodwork, heartgard and flea meds I have only received $125 total. I rescued her last March with no previous medical records. She had an injury that required surgery in July. They said it had to have been a pre-existing condition and paid $0. Now at the first policy renewal they are increasing premium by $8 a month. I submitted my cancellation and know it will be a huge runaround. Terrible coverage. Go to Nationwide. I don’t know why I tried a new company for my new dog.
