Buyer Beware
A year ago, I purchased what I considered to be a major medical policy for my 3 year old Golden Retriever. The terms were $1000 annual deductible; 90% payment; and unlimited dollars. The month before the expiration of the first term, I received a declaration page for automatic renewal. The policy premium increased by about 30% and the original discount was reduced from 10% to 5%. I have filed NO CLAIMS. I expected some increase in the renewal policy, but I did not expect a 35% increase. After some long waits to talk to a customer service rep, I was told that age, price increases in vet costs, etc.were the reason for the 35% increase. I was told that increases could be expected each year that the dog ages. While I expected some increase, I did not expect, nor did I believe it was reasonable, to experience a 35% increase having filed NO claims. My final thought -- prospective buyers should be better informed about the large premium renewal increases year to year.

We were mislead by what was covered
We had a terrible experience with Trupanion. Our Golden Retriever ate a sock and we had to have surgery to remove it. After this incident, we contacted Trupanion to see if we could get coverage for him. They told us as long as there was only one incident we would be covered. He had eaten socks before and always passed them accept this one time, so we told them this was the case, they said that was OK. So we bought the insurance, Well, as Golden Retrievers are known to do, Bailey ate another sock and needed surgery a second time. We were denied the claim. Even though we specifically asked before purchasing the insurance, if it happened a second time, were we covered.

A BIG THANK YOU TO EMBRACE PET INSURANCE!!
My 3 year old GSD decided to swallow a pretty large piece of a Kong plastic toy. He became very ill and needed emergency surgery. We knew that this was going to be very expensive. He stayed at the hospital for 2 nights. The claim was submitted when he got home later that night. The next morning the Embrace representative emailed me that the claim was processed and approved and the funds would be in my account in 2 business days. We could not believe how quickly and efficiently the claim was processed! We highly recommend this company and cannot say Thank you enough for taking the worry out of this very stressful situation.

Undeniably the best Pet Insurance available!
As with anyone with fur babies, your worries are the same as with caring for your human babies. Having this insurance gives you peace of mind. They are true to the policies agreed upon signing. Every single claim that I have submitted has been covered at 90% just as stated in their policy with no hesitation. I highly recommend it to other pet owners when visiting the Vet.

Doesn't cover even 50% of my wellness…
Doesn't cover even 50% of my wellness exam visits. Reimbursement has taken over 7 days. Pumpkin Pet Insurance is a better program for wellness and overall insurance product. I won't keep this policy/program after this year.

Trupanion for 13 year
I have used Trupanion for 13 years now. They are always quick to process claims and have a great customer service when I have called. The only downside is I wish there was some coverage for dental and preventative care
