Trupanion is the best pet insurance around. They have taken care of my dog Ziva which had to have surgery for a knee injury. They are always prompt on paying claims and making sure you don’t tress over paperwork so you can focus on getting your fur baby healthy. I absolutely love this company and their caring staff!! The price is very affordable.

Beware of premium increases
They raised the premium for my two young healthy dogs by $16 one year after my first dog started coverage and 8 months into my 2nd dogs policy. I've filed zero claims. They get you in with the low rate and the spike up the premium. I don't recommend. Also customer service could care less. All they do is give you a copy and pasted answer.

I just signed up for this insurance and getting ready to ask for a refund!! I am so frustrated. Tired of calling every day and waiting for someone to answer. No answer then a recording saying someone would call me back!! Three days in a row...no call back!!! I had questions about a claim I'm filing!!! Waiting 30 minutes plus is unacceptable and still waiting!!! Jenny McGhee

Best pet insurance there is
I have been using Trupanion as my pet insurance for the past eight years. My dog has had several medical issues along the way, and Trupanion has always made it easy to submit a claim and get reimbursed quickly. I opted for the direct payment to my checking account for my reimbursements, which has been great. When speaking to representatives on the phone regarding a medical issue, they have always been helpful, knowledgeable, kind and caring. This has made difficult situations much easier to handle, knowing that I could always depend on Trupanion. I can't say enough about Trupanion, their quality of service and their representatives and highly recommend them.

I compared a lot of plans (with a 7 month old kitten, rates were pretty reasonable), but this was recommended by my son-in-law. Wish I could tell if there was any monetary benefit to ASPCA - that would have made the decision easier. It wasn't the cheapest plan, but I trust the name (and my son-in-law).
