As long as I have had Trupanion for our dog Banjo, we never had any issues not getting the help and claim we needed. I am so glad we signed up early when he was still a puppy. It has saved us a lot of unnecessary stress. Always have recommended dog owners to get pet insurance, especially Trupanion.

Takes too long to be reimbursed
Everything okay submitting the claim, apart from Customer Services agent gave me the wrong email to send it to! Delay #1. When I finally emailed it to the correct desk, phoned 10 days later, spoke to SAME Customer Services agent who advised all would be sorted by 3 days later. Called again on 4th day, only to be told that agent was incorrect! Delay #2. Finally received my 80% back about 4 weeks after submitting first claim.

I have a rescue dog who unfortunately is an "orthopedic nightmare", as his surgeon calls it... He is truly a family member to us and we would do whatever it takes to keep him well but he has now had 4!! major orthopedic surgeries. Without Healthy Paws this would be extremely difficult for my family to handle financially. The Healthy Paws team is efficient, makes it very easy for us to work with them and benefits are extraordinary. They also treat us with patience and kindness whenever we deal with them. We are truly grateful to have this insurance and will never have a pet without it.

Trupanion has been incredible
Trupanion has been incredible after our dog was diagnosed with an infection in her spine. She was hospitalized, needed an MRI and long-term antibiotics. We couldn’t have helped her without their help. Trupanion has probably saved us $10-$12,000.
