Do NOT buy PetsBest Insurance
READ YOUR POLICY. Insurance is a scam. They hook you with lower prices and empty promises. I put insurance on my dog when she was 3 months old. Fast forward to 3 months later, my 6 month old puppy tore her cruciate ligament. I was fully aware of the injury and illness waiting period and fully expected her injury to fall under injury coverage I had purchased. It was specifically spelled out on my Policy Application under "Your Pets Coverage Begins: Illness: 14 days [...], Accident: 3 days [...]." After waiting 42 days for them to process my claim, it came back rejected. Thats when I found out about the 6 month waiting period for cruciate tears. After calling customer service it was described to me as "an anomaly" that she even tore her cruciate at 6 months of age. Despite it being an anomaly, it can not/will not be covered because it happened before my waiting period. I argued although I havent held the policy for 6 months it should be covered based on the fact that I was a responsible pet owner and purchased insurance as soon as I could for her. Despite my efforts to work with PetsBest they rejected coverage because the injury occurred before my waiting period was up. Footing me with a $6,000 surgery scheduled for the 28th and my monthly insurance payments that have not caused me any financial relief. If they cared about pets and prided themselves on their coverage they would have a heart to work with me and make things right in this rather unusual and rare situation. I fully recommend not purchasing a policy from them. Do not let their low prices hook you like they did to me. I have done some more research and came to the conclusion "Pumpkin" is a better option. They are more expensive, but from what I have seen all of their waiting periods are shorter and they have less things excluded.

Avoid this insurance
I would avoid this insurance. First they want all office records from every vet every visited. They tell afer you sign up and process the first claim. They also have denied every claim we submitted for one reason or another. They are also quite expensive.

Always there to help with any question I have. Torra was a big help today-
I have had this insurance since 2006 when I had 1 pup- Now I have three pups and I am confident they are well taken care of with ASPCA. I never had a problem with a claim and always got reimbersed in a short time.

Best Pet Insurance we've had!
This is the best pet insurance I've ever had--and I've tried about 4. Generous reimbursement, no penalties for using the insurance, reasonable premiums. A+ as far as we're concerned!

I'm so happy I went with Trupanion!
I got a 30 day trial Trupanion policy with a kitten. After talking to a Trupanion representative I opted to switch my older cat to Trupanion as well. I have been beyond pleased with the customer service as well as the reimbursement for services. I now have 3 cats insured with Trupanion. 2 of my boys have had some significant health issues as well as ER visits, why does everything seem to happen on the weekends or after hours? I can't emphasize enough how convenient and FAST the reimbursement has been. I have actually received reimbursement as soon as the next day! I've contacted customer service and must say I have never had to wait on the line for a REAL person to talk to. They have always been helpful and pleasant. I recommend Trupanion to my friends and family as well. Like I said earlier, I have used the insurance for 2 of my boys. I hope I never have to use it for the other one but I know if I do Trupanion will be there!

So Far So Good
So far, since joining Pets Best last month, we've had only positive experiences with the claim we've needed to submit. The benefits cover what we need. I would recommend Pets Best.

Love Healthy Paws
After doing an in-depth analysis of some of the top rated pet insurers out there, I moved my kitty to a Healthy Paws policy 2 1/2 years ago and have had a great experience with them. They offer reasonable deductible and coverage levels for a fair price and are so easy and simple to work with. I love their plan of paying for the premium through more affordable monthly automated credit card payments rather than one lump sum at the start of the policy year, as with my previous insurance company. After many healthy years, my senior kitty started losing weight, developed hyperthyroidism and a mast cell tumor on his neck. As a result, I've submitted several claims in the past few months and the process has always been very smooth, quick and accurate and didn't require a single phone call to their customer service. To submit a claim, just take a picture of your vet's invoice and submit on the Healthy Paws app. They processed my claims very quickly and deposited any payments due directly to my bank account. They're also very straight forward about what's covered - diagnostic tests, meds and procedures and what's not covered - exams, routine maintenance and pre-existing conditions. Overall, I've found their policies to be a great option for reasonably sharing the costs of quality vet care for my fur baby.
