Glad I got insurance here
At first, it was confusing to understand how the coverage worked. But the page and videos that explained what a deductible was were very helpful. I took me maybe an hour to understand how it all worked, what was covered and to make my decisions on my deductible. I wish the cancellation and information about not being able to lower your deductible after 30 days was listed more prominently. That would have made it quicker for me to make my decision. Overall, I am glad that I decided to insure my pet here. The lifetime per-disease deductible makes me feel comfortable with my decision and I think it will help me take care of my kitten without worrying about costs.

Dental Coverage
We were disappointed that our dog's recent dental treatment periodontal disease was not covered because there is no record of prior dental care. There is no record because this is a 5 year old dog we adopted about a year ago from the National Mill Dog rescue. She had not had ANY kind of care. We took her to our vet as soon as we got her. She had a exam, vaccinations, & blood work. We scheduled her dental but it was postponed because of COVID.

Trupanion misrepresents themselves on annual rate increase.
Trupanion misrepresents themselves on annual rate increase. When we originally signed up in 2011 our policy was $28.62. Now in 2021, that same is $103.56. That is almost a 400% increase. Trupanion has stated that the increases are based on our breed and zip code, but will not provide any supporting data. The veterinary providers in our area ha e confirmed that they have not experienced increases that would warrant this extensive hikes. It is disappointing and I would not recommend Trupanion as a provider for that reason.
