My Vet’s office staff is wonderful, I pay the bill ( I like to get the credit card points) they submit the claim to Trupanion and I get an email explaining the coverage then a check within 2 weeks.

Process was fine, disappointing outcome
I got so little of the bill covered, it was a little shocking and definitely a letdown for my first claims experience. Submitting the claim was easy enough, but it took a very long time to process. Even though I was warned of that, it was a long time to wait to get disappointing news. I think there could have been more clarity upfront, perhaps in the signing up, about what I wouldn't get covered. The process was simple enough, and I guess I will bank on getting more coverage in an emergency situation, but I can't fully recommend Trupanion at this point based on the cost and rather limited benefit.
