Peace of mind!
I wish my insurance was as good as my dog's! Seriously, Healthy Paws is the best. The premium is low, the deductible is low, and the coverage is great. When my dog ate an enormous bar of dark chocolate in the middle of a blizzard (true story) and we had to take him to the ER, we were so relieved to know that Healthy Paws would have our backs and reimburse 80% of the costs, once we met the deductible. It was true peace of mind knowing we could tell the doctors to do whatever they had to do to save our pet. When we got home, we filed the claim in 30 seconds, and received a check for reimbursement in NO time. Healthy Paws even followed up with us to see how our dog was doing!! I highly recommend Healthy Paws for total peace of mind and ease of experience.

If I could give Healthy Paws 10 stars, I would. They were incredibly supportive, compassionate, patient and fair. Several thousands dollars were paid super promptly for intensive/critical care of our puppy.

Never a hassle!
It's already stressful enough when your pet is injured or falls ill. Knowing your pet insurance will not quibble with you and will cover all sick.injury expenses is an incredible comfort. The ease of filing a claim is simple and we have always received our reimbursement promptly and without conflict. I cannot thank Trupanion enough for providing excellent service.

EVERY CLAIM DENIED,
Basically we called today to cancel policy for our two dogs, for the last 5 years we paid $140.00 a month, and every time we had an issue with our pets claim would be denied. Our vet called them personally today for the appeal and they still denied it. Basically paying for nothing. And happy to start 2021 canceled. Should have a sense of security knowing your pets are covered incase of emergency not fight every claim and appeal.

They WILL find a reason NOT to pay your claim.
Even though they keep monthly premium low what good can it do if they deny your claims? I pay monthly insurance premium and pay my vet bills. Claim review process takes up to 40 days. Much longer than other pet's insurances I have had. I cancelled this insurance and looking for another one.

Coverage is CLEAR, Service is REALLY FAST, Support is TRUE
I’m up early tending to my hound, who is recovering from her second surgery (they were unrelated) in 3 months during this horrible year of covid. I’m feeling so grateful for Trupanion that I’m going to write this review. I adopted my pup in 2012 and investigated pet insurance after her first puppy illness that included hospitalization and cost me $2500 (It took me a year to pay that off). On the one hand, this felt like buying a barn door after the horses got out; on the other hand, the low deductible I set and the clarity of what is covered and what isn’t has helped us provide my hound with the best possible care for 8 years and counting—I don’t hesitate to take her to the vet to have something checked, I don’t try several snake oil homeo remedies for months trying to save a dime while a condition gets worse, I call a vet and go. Until October, I was unaware of how well the process for surgery worked: my vet directly submitted an estimate, Trupanion then preapproves what’s covered and let’s the vet and me know, then the checkout process is also easy and FAST and CLEAR, the vet gets paid directly and I pay the remaining (Care Credit is wonderful for this, especially at the end of a month when cash is low). I can submit claims electronically, I can have funds paid directly to me or the vet, I can review what was covered at anytime on my Trupanion account page. My point is, I have had a really tough couple of months with my dog, and THANK YOU TRUPANION for being a BRIGHT LIGHT OF COMPETENCE and COMPASSION throughout.
