Pretty good
Mostly good. Easy to use website and claim process. My only issue is a claim that was denied for pre-existing condition. I have had this insurance since my dog was brought home at 9 weeks old. I had a serious health issue and there was about 4 months where I lapsed coverage. So they considered a claim denied as pre existing because it existed before coverage but really my dog was covered except that short period of time.

You pay in and sometimes wonder if it's all worth it. I know I am not the only one. Then we had a mass show up on our dog. Having Trupanion has helped relieve some of the stress. Pets best paid $25,000+ of medical bills
I had pets best for my 3 year old English lab. After a night of playing with his friends, he had a heat stroke. We had to take him to the ER where he received plasma infusions for 24 hours. After this, it was stated that he had a small chance of survival. We were given the option to put him through dialysis. After the worst week of my life, and 3 dialysis treatments, we found out that my poor Wallace didn’t have functioning kidneys anymore. He came home for a couple days and passed away. After all of the treatment, we paid about $26,000 of medical bills. Pets best paid for the majority. All said and done, we only paid a couple grand. I can’t believe they covered as much as they did. I was traveling and saw that I had the final $16,000 direct deposited into my account. Pets best really made this terrible accident a lot less painful. All I can say is thank you.

In an emergency situation it was a big relief to have about half a vet bill covered!
In an emergency situation, it was a big relief to have about half a vet bill covered! They were quick to coordinate coverage with the vet before we picked up our pup, however frustrating that treatments that were necessary for our pup weren't covered.
