Not worth the money or the trouble
My dog passed away suddenly from an undetected cancer. Embrace denied all of our claims as pre-existing conditions, saying that previous illnesses were evidence. This is despite our own vet's comments to the contrary. The claims process took two months as we went back and forth with Embrace digging through every last health record from anywhere she had been seen. This is a company that will work hard to find a denial reason for any large claim.

Just brought my puppy home 12/3
Just brought my puppy home 12/3, signed up for Figo Pet Insurance. My puppy had his Vet visit, I submitted my claim with picture of my paid invoice. That same day I received notification that Figo processed my claim.

shady signing up practices
shady signing up practices, when quoted they told me the 35.00 fee was waived if done over the phone, when i called to book it i was told it was expires. no mentions of this in the first call. If this is how they start i cant imagine how they will try to get their way after you already paid the premiums. their simple response is they did not find the file but when i called it was too bad so sad... there is only one acceptable result, honor what you offered.

Fortunately, we haven’t had to use our insurance but it’s a huge relief knowing it’s there for us! We also understand rate increases, we started with Figo after a huge increase with our former provider. Figo has been totally up front and reasonable.

Reviewer did not understand what operation was done or why
The reviewer of the claim did not understand that the original reason for bringing my dog to the doctor was not the reason for the operation we had. They claimed it was a pre-existing condition, but we only discovered the issue which *would* have been a worse issue later in life, because we ran a CT scan and discovered something new. They didn’t ask for feedback until today, and suggested I write a review- so here it is. They need better communication, should have checked in before today from an operation that happened months ago, and should have more carefully examined the martial. I’m hoping they contact me now.

So glad I chose HealthyPaws
Was confused which pet insurer to pick but very glad we finally chose HealthyPaws. Extremely straight forward what’s not covered, and for everything else not only have they always fully paid what was expected but made the submission process so so easy and reimbursement is usually within a day or two. Strongly recommended. Hopefully you won’t ever need to make a claim but if you do you’ll be so happy to have HealthyPaws.
