I was very happy with the service over the phone and your representative Matt was very knowledgeable & answered all my questions. The coverage for our pet seems very good!
I used my trupanion insurance for my first claim last week. My dogs issue turned out to be a pancreatitis. I paid my vet bills and Trupanion was very quick to get back and reimburse my claim . Very prompt ! Thank you.
I understrand that the the vet's initial exam is not covered but during treatment a vets work should be covered.
I understrand that the the vet's initial exam is not covered, but during treatment, a vets work should be covered. On the first day of our illness, x-rays were taken and the vet "exam" was not covered. On the second day they took additional x-rays (not charged) and the vet reviewed them. This should have been covered as it was part of the treatment.
I truly don't know what I would have done if it weren't for trupanion. My dog got cancer and the costs can add up fast with treatment. I am so thankful that I could give my furry companion all the needed treatment. Trupanion as been very speedy with my claims. They are easy to deal with and when you do contact them you know you are talking to a pet lover. Thanks for all you have done for Bella and I.
I requested a pre-approval for dental cleaning and possible extraction. The notification I received was difficult to read and I thought I would have some coverage. I decided to proceed thinking I would play the $1000 deductible and 10% of the remaining balance. In the end, not a penny was covered, but I had contributed $500 towards a deductible. The statements are incredibly confusing and difficult to decipher, even the ones for a simple trip to the vet. Also, our deductible goes up more and more every year. Itâs almost at the point where we are considering canceling our policy and putting the money we would pay in premiums into a savings account for expenses we incur related to our dog.
I regularly share info on my experience with Trupanion and the prompt response I receive. They have lived up to their obligation re care for my dogs ongoing condition.
