More upset with myself than anything, make sure you know what you're covered for. Have never filed a claim during the life of my 5 year old French Bulldog, but have carried AKC insurance the entire time. A few weeks ago my boy developed IVDD- went from unstoppable to having emergency spinal surgery in a week. Over $6500 in bills, thought it was going to be ok, from the financial standpoint... you know, 'cause I had "pet insurance". Filed my claim, got back EOB & $500 today... that was it, all AKC/Companion Care covered was $500. My ignorance, my loss, feels more like a sham than anything beneficial.

I have been with healthy paw for 14 years. Started from 4 to 5 years ago, monthly premium has been going up 33% every year and this year goes up 36%. I do not recommend healthy paw to others.

We had over $1000 in vet bills for our cat Tummy and had to make a claim with Lemonade for the first time. Their chat assistant made it super easy and quick to add all the relevant info necessary. I have filed several claims throughout my dog’s cancer treatment. It’s super easy to file online or through the app. You answer a couple of questions and upload a receipt. They give you a timeframe of 5 weeks for the claim but it’s usually faster than that. All my claims (between July and November 2023) have been reviewed, approved and paid out within 2 to 3 weeks. Pets Best have literally been a life saver. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for pet insurance.

Anyone who knows Corgi's, knows they can be a bit high maintenance. Ear infections, swallowing objects, orthopedic issues, allergies, you name it. Our Corgi Cash is doing great, but has had some significant medical issues over the past several years. Each time I have submitted a claim to Healthy Paws, they have quickly approved and issued funds without any resistance (thousands of dollars).
