Awful
The continuing care part of the policy is absolutely insane and clearly doesn't have the best interest of the pet or the owner in mind, especially when it comes to major issues like cancer. My dog needed a growth removed from his hip last year and because the plan renewed in between visits, the $3k limit was reduced to $1k because it was considered continuing care. The growth returned this year and I just learned that the $1k limit is lifetime. When issues are covered, they are slow to reimburse. Look elsewhere, I insist.

We are so grateful we chose Trupanion to insure our pup. When he spent 5 nights in the animal hospital we couldn't believe how prompt and easy it was to get our claim done and paid out. We now have our boy at home and without the burden of a huge bill.

Acted with integrity
I took out insurance on my two cats through healthy paws 4 years ago. I had a discount through work which I couldn’t get activated on line and so I called to finalize the policy and review the details. I recently needed to file a claim and discovered that both policies were set up incorrectly. It’s been several weeks waiting for a response to the claim and I feared this was a tactic to deny it - but nope, they honored the claim and adjusted my premium accordingly. That’s integrity.

Best decision I ever made.
Trupanion has given me a lot of peace of mind. They are incredibly easy to work with. The claims are always paid quickly. I don’t feel at all that they are trying to get out of paying. I feel like they are on my side and there to help me navigate this difficult time as my dog is aging and experiencing health problems. I fully recommend them and would purchase a policy with them all over again.

After losing my two dogs within 5 months of each other I often wondered what more I could have done for them with the financial ability to do so. When I got a new puppy and she had a tendency to put everything she saw in her mouth I thought I would make an investment and get insurance. After looking at many different companies and plans I went with Healthy Paws. The ability for me to choose my payback percentage and deductible and customize my plan was a huge draw. The phone app is a godsend. The moment I get an invoice I just take a photo on the app and let it get processed! Unfortunately at just two years old my little girl was diagnosed with a pretty bad autoimmune disease. heathy paws has been a godsend, giving her the best care I can is now possible, and a huge weight off my shoulders knowing for once I can actually do everything I can for my baby. Highly recommend healthy paws!
