I am so happy to have signed my pups up with Trupanion. They are thorough in a very timely matter and are compassionate during a sensitive time when having to submit any kind claim. Not sure it's worth it
Had an emergency vet visit on Friday night that cost $448. It was a bit of a shock to find out I would be reimbursed only $30 when I am paying $25/month for pet insurance! The break down makes sense. I think it's important to know they do not cover vet exams, even emergency ones, and your the deductible is applied to the reimbursement level, so in my case my reimbursement level was 80%, so I paid 20% and was only reimbursed 80% - $250 (my deductible), which came to $30. I guess now that I've met my deductible i'll keep it but again, not sure it's worth it.
