Clarification of information.

I looked online for information when I got the recommendation from my vet and filled out the forms to apply including my card info but when I submitted it put me back to enter more info without a msg. I then called and Brian helped me through it and answered my questions so it went through. I chose the most popular option but when speaking with another family member was given some info about their insurance called for clarification and received it. My confusion was the lifetime deductible. I understood it to be payable once but on checking am advised it is for each condition. Now I think I understand if my pup has two conditions that would be a deductible for each one. Perhaps an example like If your pup has a heart condition that's one deductible and if another condition occurs that would be another deductible. I had a detailed discussion with a lady by phone and I think I understand. It took 4 tries to get as much information to understand my policy. It really shouldn't.

Trupanion review

Informative didn¡¦t use hard sell tactics to get me to buy more insurance than I need. Have a few examples so that I clearly understand my deductible and was pleasant

Just very disappointed on my high deductible.

Just very disappointed on my high deductible... maybe I should have changed it as Mia has had many ailments . 5 years of insurance payments and still only back related issues confirmed

It is frustrating to understand how…

It is frustrating to understand how this insurance works. I brought my dog home from the breeder in Missouri and decided to get pet insurance for him in case anything happened. He was having some bowel/vomiting issues after a week or so of being with me. I decided to get him checked out but I was still in the waiting period so I went to the vet but did not send in a claim since it had not been at least 2 weeks. He was still having some issues so I went back to the vet 2 more times over a 4 week period. I spent close to $1000 dollars for tests and sent in those 2 claims. I expected at least some of them to be covered because it was well after the waiting period. I ended up receiving only $40 back for a vaccine since I had wellness coverage but all the other tests were denied for reimbursement because it was considered a pre-existing condition. What is the point of having the insurance if you wont cover anything?
