Uncertain Start but Great overall
The base model of prepaying and hoping that you are reimbursed is really uncomfortable. We had to make quick, expensive decisions before we knew if we would be covered. Thankfully we were properly reimbursed and it ended up being a great experience after the initial discomfort.

Overall it is a quick and easy enrolling process. Jason was very patient and explained every question I asked. When I told him that my dog just had his annual check and everything was ok, Jason reminded me to make sure that the Vet recorded his knee checking result in order to eliminate the 6-month waiting time for any knee issues coverage.

The best customer service
The best customer service. I always get excellent service and when I have an issue they have always helped and explained to my understanding. To file a claim it is so easy and they are quick in processing it. In my opinion it is the best insurance and I highly recommend them.

Great Customer Service
Great Customer Service. I had to call over the phone to update my address as that's not an option online. Janelle S. was friendly, patient, and communicated steps along the way in updating my address and getting me a new quote/policy that fit my needs. They also went out of their way to go through important updates since I was a previous customer and they have some new features that will make submitting claims a breeze. Already feeling more at ease!

ONE WORD:FRIENDSHIP!!
Informative, amazing customer service, and affordable! I searched for a long time for my first ever dog to which I finally got after months of waiting in January 2021! I knew the money I put into him, needed to be insured.. I had a friend who used trupanion and raved about them so I thought why not … gave them a call.. set up at 100% thinking might as well as a preventative measure.. NEVER would I have ever thought I would need them on my side as much as I have !!! Let me introduce my Golden retriever puppy .. hand selected for his beautiful color and personality … NO ONE told me that would come with a weak stomach daredevil with a keen taste for SOCK… So my relationship with trupanion began in the middle of the night… upon ingesting 2 socks at 8 weeks old. Needless to say after an X-ray, stomach meds and a visit bill that I was NOT ready for, got paid back at 100%.. I’ll never ever recommend being a pet owner without this insurance ! Rates are amazing !! Customer service is superb both phone and chat.. thank you for all you do!
