Trupanion wont cover a pre-existing…
Trupanion wont cover a pre-existing condition. When we cancelled our policy with them they gave us our dogs medical records and they’re were a lot of conditions listed for her that was never mentioned to us by her vet. She never had any of those conditions. That’s how they get out of paying the client but keep making money! Not worth it. I suggest just putting money aside monthly for your animal.

Very easy to sign up however have had pet insurance for many years. Called 7 insurance companies and Fetch/Petplan had the best rates. Justin was very easy going and seemed to know the policy very well. Not impressed that Canadian customers who shop at Walmart do not get a 10% discount however love the discount for being claims free! Jon

Healthy Paws helps us get Baxter the care she needs
We've had Healthy Paws insurance for our dog, Baxter, since she was a puppy (she's now 6). She's had quite a few minor issues here and there over the years and Healthy Paws has helped cover her care. Recently, she had a blown CCL (basically the dog equivalent of an ACL) and needed x-ray, surgery, meds, etc. Having Healthy Paws made this expensive surgery feasible for us and helped reduce some of the stress of the situation! We even were able to set up direct pay between Healthy Paws and the vet, rather than having to pay the whole cost and go through reimbursement. That was incredibly helpful and it was an easy process despite a quick turnaround. They've been very responsive and even followed up to see how Baxter's doing. We're really grateful to have Healthy Paws so we can get Bax the care she needs!

We just got our puppy and signed up for…
We just got our puppy and signed up for insurance right away. A few days after receiving our puppy we were told by the breeder she was exposed to a life threatening virus. Insurance by trupanion won’t cover any of the costs since it hasn’t been thirty days. Very sad since so much can happen in that time. Not sure this is worth it at all, especially after reading other similar reviews
