Effortless and transparent process
Healthy Paws did an incredible job with my claims for my puppy's recent treatment. Healthy Paws has an effortless process for claims. They respond quickly and send an email outlining the process they will take to resolve the claim. Their process is transparent with no hidden surprises. Once they make their determination, an email fully explaining the return arrives. Because I had a few claims related to my puppy's treatment, they even sent followup emails asking how my pup was doing. Once they announced the amount they were paying, it appeared the next day in my bank. I couldn't be happier with the entire process. I highly recommend Healthy Paws and I'm glad I chose the policy I did.

Poor Service
Unfortunately, my horse has had a lot of medical issues this year. She's a rescue so I've just been trying to get her to a healthy baseline. Seeing that ASPCA cares about animal welfare, I thought they would be a good option. I got comprehensive coverage. I submit claims every time she needs care, and they almost never count towards my deductible or reimbursement. They always find a reason to decline coverage. It makes me think they don't care about animals afterall. The routine care supplemental policy is not worth it. Their annual limits are nowhere near what the care actually costs, so you get a fraction back. They take weeks to process you claims, and if their verdict is incorrect, expect to wait another few weeks to even hear back. Their wait times on the phone are exceptionally long 40+ minutes on hold just to talk to someone. They take weeks to reply to emails. I have been waiting weeks for an estimate for surgery before scheduling it and still have not received an answer. In response to your reply: I did give you a call at that number yesterday and was on hold for 2.5 hours. Once your office closed, you hung up the line, so I was not able to speak with anyone. I cannot commit to being on hold all day. I have sent emails so please feel free to help me there.

I couldn't find my cat's policy
I couldn't find my cat's policy, and asked for help to find it. Although I gave my payment info, initial monies were not taken out. It was all straightened out thanks to my online chat person, Kelly.

Trupanion provides excellent and worry-free service
I have been extremely satisfied with Trupanion. My dog Mollie underwent surgery a few weeks ago and had to have subsequent procedures. Claims were processed literally within minutes and confirmation of approval and payment also within minutes. No surprises, no unexpected fees that weren't covered. When pet owners go through a difficult time, the last thing you want is to deal with an insurance company for coverage. Trupanion is truly the best! Highly recommend it. It has made this event with Mollie less stressful and that I can focus on helping her get back to health.

My Medical Nightmare gets a chance at life
My dog Blue is alive today because of Trupanion. Between the quick claims process, to the fact they pay my vet direct in seconds, has made all the difference in the world. My dog is a walking pharmacy, has needed multiple surgeries, treatments, diagnostics and more. Blue is my first dog as an adult, and I never thought for a second I could have a pet that was this sick. No one knows how many ailments she has, because she looks amazing because of the great job her veterinary teams have done and have been able to do because the bill wasn't a problem for me. Over $60,000 in claims and climbing, and my girl has the best life she could ever dream for. I am 1000% thankful for Trupanion.

Brand New
I/we, Bodhi and the family are new to Spot Pet Insurance. It’s literally been 8 days since we joined. Bodhi just had a birthday and is now a year old. We won’t know how well this new insurance will work until his next appointment. I/ we will be sure to send a more in-depth honest review then.😊

Very steep monthly premium increases, every year after a dog is 4 years old.
I took out insurance with Healthypaws in 2015 for my then just adopted, 2 years old, 8.5lbs, mixed breed dog. He had zero pre-existing conditions. The monthly premium was $39.00 at the time. We’ve had absolutely no claims, yet Healthypaws sees fit to raise the monthly premium every year to the degree that they are now pricing me, (a senior citizen with slender financial means,) out. This right at the point that my little dog, now approaching his 10th birthday, might actually need some health insurance coverage in the future. Healthpaws has just emailed me to inform me that as of August, 2021, his monthly premium will be over $118.00. So be warned! In six years of paying Healthypaws, without any claims, or reimbursements to me, they have raised my premium from $39.00 a month up to over $118.00 a month. I note the reply from Healthypaws 3 hours ago today, June 8th. In their reply to my post attached here, Healthypaws merely repeated word for word the exact response they gave to other of their hapless subscribers who are upset by their steep, annual, price increases after their dog reaches age 4. In addition, as I mentioned in my initial review, I have filed no claims and received zero reimbursements from Healthypaws in the 6 years of my paying their premiums, not merely “just not very many” as their response to me refers to! Plus my name is misspelt for good measure, it’s Romanie, not Romaine like the lettuce variety! Somehow this error seems emblematic of the true Healthypaws culture, however many times they write “Give your baby (dog,) a hug from us!” Lol! Healthypaws just replied to my reply to them above, they amended the spelling of my first name which I had pointed out to them that in addition to everything else they had gotten wrong! That’s all!
