Trupanion processed my claim very quickly and reimbursed me for a weekend claim by mid Monday. They then paid the specialist vet directly for their portion of my dog’s surgery.

Bright Star during a Difficult Time
My pup (almost 8 years old) was recently diagnosed with Chronic Hepatitis (Liver Disease). Trupanion has been a bright star in a sad situation. They are quick to review and approve invoices for payment allowing me to spend quality time with my boy, get him the help he needs, and not worry about if I can afford his treatment.

We wish that health insurance for people was this comprehensive. if you aren't a customer who makes them…
if you aren't a customer who makes them a profit, goodbye/take what you can get. While this appears legal (as they highlight their terms are only for 12 months at a time), it doesn't make sense when they say "we will never penalize you for making claims". This is clearly a penalty.
