Used to be decent
The policy changed hands to another company and is terrible now. The total monthly premium costs the same amount as the deductible. And there is a very low limit for coverage annually. I’d be paying out $1400 annually for a $2500 limit of coverage. It honestly makes more sense to just put the money in a savings account every month.

My experience this morning was…great!
My experience this morning was outstanding! My problem was heard and dealt with. My overall premium was reduced n a way that makes sense to me and I appreciated the creative thinking that went into managing this. The tone of the call was friendly and the time it took was not an issue as I enjoyed it so much ! Highly recommend this agent! Thank you!

Confusing
While I appreciate the idea of insurance...I have struggled to understand what is and is NOT covered. I thought that an injury/illness would be covered up to the % we selected - not subject to the deductible - which seems to be applied to our wellness plan. It is somewhat confusing.

My experience with SpotPetSource has…
My experience with SpotPetSource has been horrible. Their claims and reimbursement process is unreliable, misleading, and frustrating, making it nearly impossible to trust their service.

Claim taking weeks to review as they ask for information I’ve already provided
Healthy paws advertises in big print on their front page that most claims are settled in two days. I’m over three weeks into mine. They sent me an email saying that the invoice I sent isn’t valid, because it needs to be itemized and contain a bunch of specific details. It was itemized and contained everything they listed. So I called and talked to an agent who looked at the bill, agreed it was itemized and said she’d tell the underwriter to review it as is. The status of my claim updated to in progress, but a few days later I logged in to check and it was back to requesting the same information, except this time they didn’t email me or give any notice. I emailed and explained in detail that my invoice fit all their requirements. They responded with a generic email asking for an itemized invoice. These people are unethical, morons or both. Don’t deal with them.

Nationwide Not on Myside
I am already disappointed in a company who I thought values the customer and demonstrates integrity. I recently signed my 2 puppies up for insurance. Same bread , same age same type of policy yet I was charged higher rate for one puppy than the other. That’s crazy! I reserve my judgment and decide ed to call thinking surely this is an error? I stayed on hold and the phone hung up, then after I called back A nice lady told me she could switch me over to the correct department. I advised I was not interested in holding for over 15 minutes only to not speak to someone. I instead requested a callback. Well no call back ever happened. I guess Nationwide isn’t as respectable as I thought!! My second request was a simple name change correction to one of the puppies. I again was advised by a nice lady that I had to grant permission and she gave me the link. That was done same day. Guess what I received no email response that this was resolved either!! How can I trust a company that has such poor customer service!!! Your rating is a deserving one star!!

Disgusted
The cost of my dogs insurance is now more than my own. You people are ridiculous. $200 a month from what used to be originally around $60 a month. Constantly hiking up the costs. You called it an increase due to the cost in the area but the costs have not changed AT ALL at my vet. This is directly tied to the fact that I now have hit his lifetime deductible for his skin issues and now you actually have to start paying something towards his care so you're balancing that by jacking up the rate. Congratulations on making pet care as shitty as human healthcare. Well done. I'm sure your shareholders will applaud. Update: spoke with your customer service. Nothing has been resolved other than verification of what I already wrote. You cannot justify the recent 30% increase when inflation is less than 4% in my area. This is nothing more than a counterbalance to offset the fact that his deductible has recently been met and now you actually have to live up to your end of the agreement.

Friendly telephone help.
The representatives were very courteous and helpful, despite the larger insurance underwriting issues inherent in every policy, regardless of the carrier. Poor customer service would have made it worse.
