Having Nationwide Pet Insurance has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Having worked for four different Veterinarians over the years, I was aware that Bulldogs have many medical issues, but I still decided that I would take the risk after seeing his "baby" pic online. I got "Wally's" health insurance as soon as he was old enough. He has indeed had many health issues over the last two years. He just turned 2, and we LOVE him dearly, but without his insurance we would have had to come up with a lot of money. I was starting to worry that his insurance might be cancelled. It has not. I was notified that his monthly premiums would go up a small amount because of his age, but not because of all the times he needed medical care. I HIGHLY recommend Nationwide!

Great Insurance Plan for our Doberman
We have files several claims on behalf of our Doberman, Tanner. With the exception of one claim where we had to provide more documentation, our Nationwide Pet Insurance policy has been great to deal with. Claims are easy to file and the reimbursements are most helpful as vet bills are quite high for just about anything.

I am so glad that I took this insurance!
This insurance is the best. I would be in the poor house if it wasn't for this insurance.

So Far, So Good!
As I look back at the process we endured in filing claims for Maggie's TPLO surgery in early January 2018, I ultimately am pleased with the end results in having Embrace Pet Insurance. Once a few hurdles were removed, they paid quickly, efficiently, and were ALWAYS very cordial and helpful. My two "less than a 10" issues are: 1. It was extremely frustrating and difficult to get the medical history information that Embrace required when we originally filed the first claim for Maggie's surgery. I don't know if it was a disconnect between our vet and Embrace, or what, but Embrace kept saying they needed detailed medical record information for the full year preceding the beginning of Maggie's coverage. I felt caught in the middle and not able to do what needed to be done. Our vet kept saying they had sent everything requested. At some point, I was told they faxed over 100 pages to Embrace, hoping that will suffice! Regardless of where the problem was, I feel it would best serve Embrace insured pets to require that information at initial signup. Then we would have known what was covered, what was deemed "permanent pre-existing conditions", and what was "temporary pre-existing conditions". We have a second Golden with Embrace insurance, and I am dreading trying to get her detailed medical record information to Embrace. Putting that off for now! 2. Now I am concerned how filing these claims will impact future premiums and coverage. Will just have to wait and see what the coming years bring! Overall, I can't say enough nice things about each and every person that I spoke with, from the day I first contacted Embrace about getting coverage for my two Goldens through getting the claims finally settled. Great group of folks.

I have had no problem with my claims and it is important to trust an insurance company.
I love having insurance for my dog as it would have costs me lots more if I did not have insurance. We get reimbursed quickly and get an email to tell us what is happening with our claim.

Thankful for Trupanion!
My dog had a mast cell tumor removed (very expensive) and Trupanion delivered on their promise to pay the claim exactly as the policy dictated. My friends thought I was crazy to purchase pet insurance when my dog was a puppy, but over time, things happen, and it's nice to know that there is a reliable company who stands by their word to pay claims, especially after I had paid my premiums through the years. Thank you Trupanion, you are amazing. (And thank you for sending a nice card to my house.)

I implore you to purchase
I have only had this insurance for 9 mo the and I think it has paid for itself. My puppy came home with a parasite from breeder and we have been in the vet’s office off and on. It has really come in handy

Luna's trip to the Emergency Room on Christmas Day
Our french bulldog puppy Luna had an eye injury on Christmas morning. We took her to an emergency room, where we were told that she had a deep corneal ulcer, and she would require around the clock hourly care for the next 2 days. We were then referred to an ophthalmologist at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston. She spent 3 days in the hospital and was sent home with medication for the next week. She fortunately made a full recovery. It was nice to know that her care was covered (90%!) The claims were handled quickly and reimbursement was sent out efficiently.
