Extremely Satisfied
Signed my 8 year old dog (9 now) up with Embrace in early 2017. I enrolled my dog after spending $3k out of pocket on my sick border collie mix only to be told she needed surgery at an additional $8-10k and was given a 50/50 chance of survival (she had a mass in her intestines that had ruptured and the mass had potential pancreatic involvement). My border collie mix wasn't terribly old at age 11 and I had expected to have a few years left with her at least. Sadly this wasn't the case due to both cost and the survival prognosis. I held her and sat with her as I said goodbye. I didn't want cost to have any influence on my medical decisions for my dogs in the future. Embrace's policy was clear on what would and would not be covered, a medical review could be done upon request to determine if the dog had any pre-existing medical conditions, and an orthopedic waiver was an option to avoid the 6 month waiting period for bone/joint issues. I made sure Embrace received my pet's medical records shortly after enrolling along with going to the local vet to have an orthopedic exam done. This way I had assurance on what would be covered and if my dog was considered to have any pre-existing conditions what would not be covered. Later half of 2017 my dog injured his back. He got better for a while but had a relapse. The relapse resulted in further diagnostic testing which revealed he had developed IVDD. At this point my dog will need ongoing medical care for the rest of his life as dogs with IVDD have tendencies to relapse into being painful. Thankfully my dog can still have many years to spend with me even with IVDD as long as he is rested for the appropriate amount of time during periods of relapse. My first claim was submitted to Embrace and I received approval for my claim within 7 days. Yes the claims process could be made easier (having to have the vet fill out the claim form every vet visit is a pain and each claim form is reimbursed as a separate claim even if submitted together). But overall I am extremely satisfied with Embrace.

So worth the peace of mind!
We have had insurance with healthy paws for our golden since he was a puppy and he is almost 6 now. We have had nothing but good experiences with them. They are quick to reimburse and they have never given us a hard time or tried to “get out” of covering any claims that should be covered. Very happy with the peace of mind for our pup that healthy paws provides.

Lizzie was great.
Lizzie was great. I used to recommend Trupanion to all my friends and family. I believed in the beginning my premium would not go up as my pet ages but that is a false statement.

Ordinarily I'd be sure to recommend Trupanion to friends.
Ordinarily I'd be sure to recommend Trupanion to friends. However my premiums for three cats have soared more than 100% and I have had to raise our deductible. I now question if it's worth having Trupanion.

My only real concern
My only real concern was that I was in the financial situation ... I'm 73 in on a limited budget that I want to make sure my dogs are well taken care of and I do appreciate the care and the speed that this was taken care of after I spoke to Jennifer.

Lisa handled my call well- professionally and friendly.
Lisa handled my call well- professionally and friendly. I have no complaints about how she handled my call. I’m just frustrated to learn that I don’t really get the “puppy price” forever like everyone claims. I work for a vets office and this is what we’ve been told and have been telling clients. I understand it’s still a reduced rate since I signed him up at 8 weeks, but I still feel like I’ve been lied to.

Your service is great.
Your service is great... but, I'm considering cancelling just due to cost. I understand your rates are set by breed as well as location. However, I'm sad that because a breed has issues, such as hip dysplasia that an x-ray showing it is not an issue isn't able to reduce the rate. But, again your service is great.

When I got this insurance I picked the price my budget could handle.
When I got this insurance I picked the price my budget could handle. It has now increased to the place where I may have to look for another provider so I am not happy with you outrageous price increases and being a senior citizen on a fixed pension I may have to cancel my policy. I chose your company because you had the best coverage I could find and while your cost was very high I felt It was worth it. Now I'm evaluating my options. I may be better off to just save the $60 a month in an emergency account and use it as needed. As the person I talked to suggested I know I could increase the deductible and lower the payments but this probably means I would really only see an advantage should we have a major accident or illness. It would be nice if you had a senior discount. Anyway I am still evaluating my options so will stay with you for now .
