I'm glad I have Nationwide pet insurance
Nationwide is rather expensive and then only covers a little more than half of Tonto's medical bills, but I would rather have it than not. The process is fairly easy. My vet submits the bills and then Nationwide denies whatever they can, paying me a portion because they know I have no alternative. I am satisfied with Nationwide, but not pleased.

I've had insurance on all of our dogs since they were 8-week old pups because dogs for us are not just pets, they are full-fledged members of our family. The thought of having to let one go because we couldn't afford an expensive surgery is just unthinkable. That said, I've always been skeptical about pet insurance companies in general. I've read a lot of bad reviews and horror stories about them, and have always wondered whether they would actually pay if we had to file a claim. I switched to Embrace a few years ago because the pricing was better than what I was paying and the reviews were good. I recently had to rush Carmela, our little Chorkie, to an all-night vet hospital 40 miles from where we live because they were the closest place open at night. Her stomach was severely bloated and hard as a rock, and I was afraid that she might have an intestinal blockage and might not survive the night without surgery. It turned out that there was no blockage, but the hospital really took advantage of us and the bill was over $1300.00. I submitted a claim to Embrace, thinking that this was the acid test. I had all of the required documentation, and according to my policy this was a legitimate claim. If they did not pay, I was going to forgo insurance on all of our dogs and start a dedicated savings account instead. Embrace makes the online filing very easy, and I got an e-mail in minutes confirming the filing and telling me I would hear back from them in 7-10 business days. This morning, a week later, I got another e-mail telling me that my claim was approved and a check was in the mail. I am very pleased and impressed with Embrace, and will continue to insure all of our dogs with them. I can't say enough about how highly I recommend them.

Nationwide Was With Us All The Way
My dog had to have a broken tooth extracted which turned out to be a costly procedure. I submitted a claim shortly after the surgery and was happy to receive a substantial check from Nationwide that helped to defray some of the cost within 3 weeks! I am very comforted to know that we have Nationwide Insurance!

This is such a benefit for mh dog and I.
This insurance is so helpful. I don't feel overwhelmed because I know Nationwide will be there for me. By paying the monthly payment I am able to spread out the cost of veterinary bills throughout the year. My dog Rocco was given a bone at a kennel and it did a number on his intestinal tract. He had to take several trips to the vet to get better and Nationwide covered us the whole way through. The deductible is low and the service is high. Its so easy to submit, but having 90 days really helps. Excellent all the way around.
