I had insurance with Trupanion before. Never had to make a claim, but I've never forgotten how a representative sent me a sympathy card after my dog died. I also did a ton of research before choosing Trupanion and decided it was the best choice. My vet also recommended Trupanion.

Easy to sign up. It is unclear from the sight if future payments will be automatically processed. It would also be good to have a choice of payment date.
