Good to have it and not need it
Good to have insurance for major medical, regular visits not necessary to have because they don't cover much. Benefits are hard to understand and very confusing, but they cover most things once you have reached your deductible, which is normal with any insurance.

Dani B Good gets back her life
Happy to report that 10 days out from surgery and Dani B Good is doing great. The challenge is going to be keeping her quiet for the next two and a half months while the bone heals around her titanium insert. Stitches come out this afternoon and physical therapy starts on Friday. We are grateful for the wonderful team we have supporting us, not the least of which is our friends at "Healthy Paws," Our girl is well on her way to getting back her life. Peter

They will never pay your claim
My dog is a healthy 3yo Shiba Inu and recently he got sick with allergies and had one episode of angioedema so severe I had to rush him to the Animal Hospital. After sending the claim, Healthy paws asked for all his medical records since I got him when he was 3 months old. After sending more than 30 pages of documentation they canceled my claim saying there was insufficient background information. I am an MD and deal with insurances all the time. It was an allergy case, never stated in any of the previous vet visits as it is a new condition. They want more than 30 pages worth of vaccination and physical exams?? Now I have bills and all the money I paid to healthy paws was in vain. They are a good pet insurance as long as your pet is healthy. Stay away from them!!
