Great insurance
This insurance helps a lot. I did not have insurance with my other pets, and could not afford really expensive procedures for them. This was a major regret that I remedied with Bria. Now, I don't worry about losing her over a possible expensive procedure.

This claim was a hard one to s…
This claim was a hard one to submit as my darling boy Mooky had to be put to sleep at the end of his cancer diagnosis. I was absolutely dreading the finality of then having to cancel his policy after the reimbursement was received. You did that final piece for me and I was very grateful to not have to do it. I then received a condolence card from you. Thank you for making this process a lot easier than I expected it to be, thank you for caring.

Satisfied Pet Member
I am a satisfied pet member. Although I hate having to go to the vet, I am happy to be a member of Embrace. It gives me and my pet mom and dad piece of mind whenever I have a vet appointment. Signed: Taylor

Worth it
I was told about Pets Best by my vet, who purchased it for his entire staff. It definitely gives me peace of mind, since its much easier for me to pay a monthly fee than to get randomly hit with a huge vet bill.

Many good choices, ASPCA is not one of them
A small clause in their contact, something like: any condition not resolved in a claim period (in our case it was the calendar year) cannot be carried over to the next claim period. In a nutshell, at the annual wellness exam in December, our vet suggested a senior exam since she was 8 yrs. A lower than normal red cell count showed up. Our vet then did a scan looking for internal bleeding. Nothing showed up, our dog seems perfectly fine. The vet refers us to specialty clinic, couldn't get an appt. until January. More detailed testing revealed a serious bone marrow problem. She was gone in 6 months. Although I had paid my premiums for years, everything after January 1 was denied. Why? anything not cleared up in a contract period cannot be carried over (even though the premiums automatically renewed and continued). We hadn't even had a diagnosis yet. Therefore, if your dog gets sick, it better be in January. ASPCA has no affiliation with the charitable organization, they pay them to use their name. They are nothing like the ASPCA we know and love. I fought to get a small compensation that didn't anywhere near cover the costs of her care. I don't know if they've changed their ways or not but any company that inserts dirty little tricks like this into their policy is no friend of our pets and shouldn't be trusted. Lots of good pet insurance companies out there that do not have these practices. I know, I was very careful in selecting insurance for my new dog. This site was helpful. Felt the need to let other pet owners know about my experience.

Pre existing condition
My dog received a diagnosis of cancer of the liver in July of this year. Because my insurance date is coming they have told me that anything related to the cancer will not be covered and consider it a preexisting condition. If it goes away then 180 days after it will be revisited. Gosh, I hope she even lives that long. Kind of cruel. I cancelled, as why would I pay them when they do not cover anything...... or they will claim any symptom will be related.

Incentives for Rescuing pets!
It would be a wonderful incentive to discount the insurance for those who rescued their pets rather than shopped for them - there are so many doggies that need homes that die in shelters. Discounting the insurance would incentivize doggies to get homes because it will be more affordable. I rescued my Saint Bernard, who I insure through Nationwide, and it really would help me financially.

Helpful
Amy was most helpful with my questions on a recent EOB. She noticed you were waiting for a response from my vet and is following up with them. She offered to update me by phone if there were any issues in completing the review of the open items. Excellent service!
