Only down side is that the taxes are not covered in Canada, whereas they are in the US.

Accidental coverage that did not cover a accident.
Why would you have an accidental coverage policy if it does not cover a real accident? Last time I checked, a dog running and playing and slipping on grass and tearing their ACL was considered an accident.
