Read before you sign

when I signed up for the insurance I did not realize there is a two week waiting period. One week after signing my dog became very ill with a gastrointestinal infection. I know it is their policy but I have had to put out a lot of money for vet care. I should have read the policy thoroughly. My mistake.

MetLife has gone crazy finding ANY…

MetLife has gone crazy finding ANY excuse to withhold coverage due to "pre existing condition". In the case of my dog Sunshine's allergies, coverage was denied because in the past we tried to see if Sunshine's paw licking was due to allergies. We tried treatment, it did nothing, which RULED OUT allergies. MetLife examiners used this as an excuse to claim "pre existing condition" and refuse coverage. MetLife's insurance is coming dangerously close to being useless, and just a constant battle for coverage. MetLife also claims they cover prescription dog foods; which is likely true, but only if your dog has been found to need said prescription food ONLY if the special food needs are discovered AFTER the start of the insurance coverage, AND the two week "waiting period". There is FAR more emphasis in denying coverage than providing it.

Being told you are missing Mando’s…

Being told you are missing Mando’s Explanation of Benefits showing that your pet had coverage with your previous provider for this condition ( hypothryoidism). I have previously uploaded complete history for Mando. Also this current claim has nothing to do with hypothryoidism and he doesn't have hypothryoidism. I'm not sure where this came from. Bloodword was to confirm that he didn't have it as we didn't know what was causing his pain.

It takes MetLife nearly 4 weeks to refund minimal refund to me. Then you lied about me being covered for my lovely female to be spayed. And then I cancelled my insurance with you and you still did an autopay for another month. The worst experience with MetLife. Don’t sign with them

Follow up from November.

Follow up from November. Absolute scam paid the policy in full, Spot Pet did not pay any of our claims, all claims submitted multiple times by our local veterinary and complies with Spot Pet Policy. Filing in small claims court, absolutely a scam. Awful phone service, after many hours of calls and re submitting of all of the claims, the supervisor scheduled to call us on 11/28, no call no show. Stay far away from this company. SCAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Papers have been notarized as I informed 3 representatives that we were filing in CT small claims court, you can call us at 860-280-1388, review and pay the 3 invoices asap or on 12/15 I will proceed with the filing process, I also emailed you a copy of the CT small claim information. Unacceptable at every level especially management level. I will submit all vet invoices and our service agreement on this website for proof of their scamming customers
