So happy for the Complementary Care Rider
This is my first experience with pet insurance. I have owned 9 dogs and decided I would give insurance a try. My 8 year old Bernese developed a problem with her neck and spine. My conventional vet recommended an MRI and surgery. I know with a large breed spinal surgery in rarely successful. I decided since I had luck with acupuncture in the past I would take her to my integrative vet. She has had acupuncture every three weeks and her issues with her neck are completely cured and her issues with her lumbar spine are markedly improved. Trupanion has been vey easy to deal with and I love that I was able to by the rider that covers this treatment. Highly recommend Trupanion.

Nationwide has been great in making sure my dog is taken care of! I now don't have anxiety going to the vet because I know I will be able to afford everything with their help. The insurance has almost paid for itself already! Very pleased and will continue this service forever with my pup, Darcy!

Cat got treatment and I got reimbursed
I took out the Nationwide pet insurance because it was a program thru my employer and I had a cat in the past, that after multiple sickness visits, cost my family large amounts of money that hit out wallets all at once and would become a financial burden. My cat, Tinkerbell needed treatment by the vet and the cost was incurred by me. Unfortunately, in the past year, her 2 sickness visits did amount to over the $250 deductible. I made a claim on the Vitusvet app and within one week received reimbursement. Thank you Nationwide for being on mine and Tinky's side.

I called because I got an email saying my payment wasn’t processed and my policy would terminate in a few weeks. I am on auto-deduct for payments so I knew I had to call Figo to get it straightened out. They were super helpful and explained the discrepancy and promised a better experience in the future. The Nationwide pet insurance coverage, ease of filing a claim, and speed of reimbursement exceeded my expectations.
I have had other pet health and/or accident insurance policies before, but the Nationwide pet insurance coverage is SO MUCH BETTER. My employer offered it as an optional coverage that I could sign up for and pay for through a payroll deduction, which was great, but I didn't have especially high expectations based upon past experience with another pet health insurer. I had adopted two beautiful siamese mix rescue kittens, and just before her first birthday, my eldest kitten attempted to jump up onto a railing (a pet sitter had recently moved a box near the railing she had been sitting on, but I removed it, thinking it was dangerous for her) in my second story loft, and my sweet angel fell onto a granite breakfast bar below, immediately breaking her ankle! The horror! I rushed her to an outstanding nearby emergency vet hospital and fortunately the break was right along a growth plate, but she was in a rigid splint for a while, with "cast" changes about every 10 days, then a soft cast. She healed perfectly and is back to her very athletic (though not so daredevil) and playful self, and I can't believe how easy the claim process was with Nationwide, and how quickly they reimbursed me. They really care about pets, and it's a pleasure to do business with them. Thank you, Nationwide!
