Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is well worth the investment
We signed up for Healthy Paws when our puppy came home in 2016. We submitted several claims over the past four years, including our most recent claim for major leg surgery. Healthy Paws processed the claim immediately and we received the reimbursement check 8 days after surgery. I recommend Healthy Paws to all my friends.

Issues for Rescue Owners
I hate leaving poor reviews but I want others to know the issue we have faced with our rescue. Our claim was denied because they didn’t have enough medical history. We explained that our 3 year old Mastiff was a rescue and we don’t have any history besides her spay. I sent those records and explained twice that her name has changed since being rescued. We are attempting to reopen the claim for our very healthy pup and are waiting to see what happened. It’s been a headache and with Covid-19 I’m sure it will take even longer to receive a response (which I’m understanding of) we shall see.

Exceptional claims service
First puppy ever. Decided to get pet insurance a few years ago. Did not get insurance before as I was always concerned about the potential difficulty in making an insurance claim and getting payment if my puppy got sick. Well, our puppy got sick recently and we took her to the vet. The vet hospital did a lot of CT scans etc. and determined that our puppy had an enlarged liver. Total cost was around $ 4,000. The hospital sent the invoice directly to Trupanion. Within about a week I got an e-mail from Trupanion that the claim had been processed and paid as per the policy. I am extremely impressed and will recommend Trupanion to all others whenever possible. Thank you Trupanion for coming through as promised and the wonderful support.

Trupanion has always given us tremendous mental and financial support through a very stressful time when Bapu was diagnosed with immune hemolytic anemia. He was very sick and almost died. You were there to remove our anxiety level and allow us not to worry too much about the medical expensive cost of his long treatment. It allows us to focus mainly on his health. Trupanion pays back 90% of most of my claims. Sometimes they are processed quickly, sometimes not. Customer service reps are helpful and nice, however callbacks are not often and most email inquiries are not returned. Expect HUGE yearly premium increases and this pet insurance carrier is not cheap.
