Excellent Service

We have had pet insurance with Trupanion for over four years now on our Bichon pet.He has not had many health problems however on two occasions we have had to forward claims to Trupanion. Each time they have provided impressive service and we would highly recommend the company to pet owners without hesitation.

Great Claims Service

Our dog Niko was hit by a car a week ago. The Trupion team was excellent and handling our calls / claims. They were so understanding and compassionate with Niko's accident. They processed the claim within days and kept us informed by email every step of the way. We've never had to put in a claim and hope never to put one in again however dealing with Trupanion was excellent. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for pert insurance. very good

I have a six month old yellow lab. I had no idea she would come up with the medical problems she has had. My puppy has had three different claims due to giardia, hip dysplasia, and ingestion of chocolate. I have been very pleased with the prompt processing and payments made by trupanion. I hope she grows up without any more problems but im very grateful for my pet insurance because i love her enough to provide the care she needs.

Trupanion just raised my rate by 62%. 1st year

I just got a premium notice that my premium went up from $41 to $66 month. My dog is 1 year old. I had a claim for $130 paid. They told me on chat that they have not raised premiums since starting in 2008. They should raise rates of 3-4 year policy holders now, and gradually raise rates as you are with them. They lie when they told me today they don't raise rates based on age of pet or claims. I don't thing vet bills have gone up 62% since 2008. Don't get scammed by Trupanion. You will be sorry after 1st year.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
