I am very impressed with Trupanion.

When I got my puppy I wanted pet insurance. My prior dog had died of cancer so I knew that pretty much anything medically you could do for a human you could do for a dog. Put in a similar situation,I did not want to have to make medical decisions based on my ability to pay for care. Enter pet insurance. It is not cheap to have but it is a great safety net. My vet recommended Trupanion based on her experience with pet insurance companies.That influenced my choice but I also did a lot of independent research before deciding on Trupanion. I could not be happier with Trupanion. They have covered illness and accidents (life with a busy puppy). Any time I have called with a question there has been a knowledgeable person on the other end of the phone line. One time they rejected a claim. My vet wrote an appeal explaining why their analysis was incorrect. The claim was reviewed and they accepted the claim. I recommend Trupanion with no reservations.

Trupanion was Exceptional

Great service. I still cant believe how fast and easy it was. They were so pleasant to deal with. I usually feel like insurance companies just want to look for loop holes and reasons not to pay or to delay, but Trupanion was AWESOME.

Trupanion is the best!!

First of all I would like to thank Trupanion for allowing me to be able to take top quality care of my beloved Bob! Trupanion follows through with their promises and delivers fast results with perfect customer service.My vet works directly with Trupanion so it takes all the already stressful time off my shoulders and I don't have to worry about money because I know Trupanion is there. They keep the monthly premiums so affordable for anyone's budget so a person can be able to take care of their wonderful pets,thank-you for that! And thank-you as well to my amazing vet at Foothills Veterinary Clinic in Buckley, WA. Dr.Vetter,Kathy and all the caring staff for your willingness to work with Trupanion directly for me and Bob.I will never be without Trupanion!

Puppy Insurance

We got Sarge our puppy Shepherd insurance the first visit to our Vets. Thank God we did, he got so sick all of a sudden and was hospitalized for two days and that cost was close to $1000. Trupanion was amazing they reimb. us exactly what they said they would and it only took one week. Much faster than my insurance plan with my work in reimbursing for medical expenses.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
