Sparky's Hospital Stay

Took my dog into the hospital for 3 days due to Gastrenteritis. The total bill was ~ $2100. Trupanion dispersed ~ $1500. Which was much appreciated. The only negative was that they did not reimburse the $250 deductible which I should have been reimbursed because my dog was treated for gastroenteritis at the same hospital back in October of last year. All in all still better than nothing and my pet is doing fine now.

Easy

I have an 11 month old black lab who tore a ligament in her knee and had to have cruiciate surgery. Trupanion was a blessing. The forms were easy to fill out and I was reimbursed for 90% of the costs in just a few days! Thank you Trupanion!

Great Service

Love the security of having the insurance to provide the best care for my dog. I'd love it more if the rates didn't slowly creep up and up, but hey, it hasn't been anything too crazy.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
