amazing

Our dog Harley was attacked by another dog. He got a very long ear laceration. His ear lobe was literally ripped in half. From start to finish our claim was handled very professionally. Our vet clinic direct billed right to Trupanion......I know dentist offices that won't even direct bill.....i was very impressed. I have since advised every dog/cat owner to contact Trupanion!!

Great

My dog, a crested-poo tour her ACL. Trupanion was there with me every step of the way. I submitted the bills and was payed in a timely manner. They care about your pet and I really like that.

We're happy with Trupanion coverage

Our beagle, Lacy, has been diagnosed with Cushings Disease, and there have been lots of lab tests and vet visits connected with her care. We are so pleased that we have insurance to help with these costs. Our old pet insurance company paid only $200 on a $4000 bill after Lacy needed surgery and care following a coyote attack. That convinced us to look for a better company.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
