Trupanion always provides exceptional service. Claims are quickly processed, and the amount of reimbursement compared to the cost makes it not just affordable but actually cheap. no other pet insurance company even remotely compares. Buddy's surgery

Trupanion was quick to respond to submitted claim for surgical treatment, and reimbursement was forthcoming in a relatively short period of time. They fully answered any and all questions I had, relative to the claim to my complete satisfaction. They even inquired as to the outcome of his surgery. I would highly recommend Trupanion.

Great coverage

Our 6 month old Bernese Mtn dog suffered a fractured Tibial crest. Surgery was required and performed successfully. Try anion was in touch with ud from the start. Payments were made very timely and coverage was as listed. I would not be without it

Dependable

Trupanion has been fantastic!! My Dog, Preston has had a lot of health problems. There was about a year and a half when he was in the vet almost every 2 weeks!! Trupanion never denied any of my claims and they were all processed in a timely manner. They also gave me pre approval for Preston's major surgery. It was a really hard time, and very stressful, but it made me feel better knowing I could depend on Trupanion to help me out!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like: Examination fees Wellness and preventive care Elective, or cosmetic procedures Sales tax, where applicable Like all pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions.
