Quick and friendly service

Trupanion really does cover everything under the policy. Each time our dog has had a medical issue Trupanion quickly responded and we received the insurance checks within 2 weeks. Just recently our dog had a bout of Giardiasis and then 2 weeks later ingested a mystery pill, so our vet bills would have been astronomical if it weren't for Trupanion. The only down side would be that they do not cover exam fees under the policy. Other than that, it's great.

Outstanding!!!!!

I cannot speak more highly of the representatives at Trupanion. My cat suffered a severe gastritis from ingesting a foreign body, thus requiring surgery and several medications. His total health costs totaled nearly $3,000.00. Trupanion covered 90% of the cost - no questions asked! The files were reviewed and settled in fewer than 10 days. Thank you, Trupanion, for helping me take the best care of my cat without the stress and worry of financial hardship!

Please get insurance for your pet!

Our little dachshund keeps having typical dachshund issues. From skin issues to ear infections common to its breed to normal life little incidents, our dog has needed to see the vet quite a lot lately. Thank God we have insurance. Trupanion makes the whole pet insurance experience easy. Their staff is always helpful and friendly and they are very honest in advising you regarding what coverage matches your pet's need. Get yourself some peace of mind and get insurance for your pet!

Well Worth It!

I have had my Bullmastiff insured since 6 weeks of age, and having Trupanion has made all the difference in the world! I can't say enough about their customer service, and fast reimbursement for ALL claims. And being able to take an additional package to cover various rehabilitation aspects of things, is keeping my girl healthy and happy as she ages... well worth the investment!

A wonderful insurance company

What a great insurance company! My Maltese puppy, Magnolia, is only 1 year and 3 months old. When I noticed she was starting to have difficulty walking, I took her to a surgeon to have her examined. I got the devastating news that she needed surgery on both patellas (Bilateral MPL). I was in shock when I got the news. I filed my claim with Trupanion and within a month they paid 90 % of her surgical costs as promised in her policy. I would recommend Trupanion to anyone who has taken on the responsibility of caring for and loving a puppy. Thank you! Sheri and Magnolia DeBro

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
