Superb Service

Zebo has injured his ACL and we submitted all the paperwork for his injury - the paperwork also included routine care. They processed the claim in a week or so and automatically make the deductions for his regular care. I was amazed it really works just like people insurance. Highly Recommend.

deducible is not what I expected

When it said $200 deducible I thought 'a year', if not surely a illness. But NO the deducible is $200 a visit. My wonderful kitten went to the vet several times before finally being diagnosed with FIP. Each visit was the same illness but every time $200 was deducted Plus all 'examination fees' are excluded. A vet can't find out what is wrong unless the animal is examined Big rip off

Fantastick service!!!!!

We have been with Trupanion for over 10 years and have had quite a few claims, one over $5000.00. We usually have a cheque within 3-7 days. They are so helpful and kind when dealing with them. I have literally begged anyone I know with a pet to get this insurance as soon as they get their pets. It is more expensive if you wait too many years. As I have discovered that even for minor things the bill is usually over $400.00. Over a 10 year period we would have put out about $13000.00 of our money, so although it may seem hard to make those payments, you will be so grateful when it comes time to pay those huge bills. I worry that a lot of pets are not getting the medical care they need if there is no insurance, so do the right thing and be responsible, your pet will thank you.

Kane and his Cancer scare

In late August, Kane, our 11 year old Black Lab, wasn't eating and he was drooling. As soon as we possibly could, he was at our Vet, which lead to a x-ray, an ultrasound, which detected a mass on his spline. The next day, he had surgery to remove his spline and tumour. The pathology indicated that he would be a good candidate for Oncology / Chemotherapy, which was started last week, and he's tolerating it very well. Throughout all of this, Trupanion has been fantastic!!!I don't know what we would have done without Trupanion...Thank you!!!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
