Trupanion or Truscam...

I had my dog at the vet for her annual vaccines and a checkup, when my dog was examined, the vet found a broken tooth. They submitted a claim to TRUPANION , and they agreed to pay up to $1400. I set up an appointment , and had the Tooth extracted a couple of weeks later. I paid the the Vet my portion (less what Trupanion paid). 5 days later, I received a letter from Trupanion. They have reevaluated the claim. According to my dogs records, she had gingivitis on her teeth when she was 18 Months old. Therefore, we can not cover a broken tooth...... The letter also tells me to go back to the vet and pay them what they originally agreed to pay.

Thankful for Trupanion

I love my pets and take full responsibility for them. In saying that, it is very difficult to say no to treatment that can help them due to illness or injury. Veterinarian treatment can be very expensive. As I did not have insurance with my border collie, whom I spent an enormous amount of money on veterinarian emergency bills. I decided to purchase pet insurance with Trupanion for my multipoo. Recently my multipoo injured her knee (cranial cruciate ligament rupture). The claims were put through to Trupanion by my vet and the veterinarian emergency hospital. There was no fuss and no drama from Trupanion and the claim was paid within days. I am so thankful for Trupanion and recommend it to anyone who has a pet. Premiums are a small payment per month but in the long run so worth it. Thank you Trupanion.

I love the quick email responses once a claim is submitted letting you know your claim has been recieved, followed shortly by an email telling you your claim is processed. Usually recieve payment in just over a week!

Our dog Riley had a terrible accident.

Our dog Riley at 5 months old had a terrible accident and needed many surgeries. Although she is mending slowly she will need more physio and we are thankful we had Trupanion by our side to help with her costs. You provided the right coverage and worked with our vet to cover her major injuries. Thank you

Gracie our 9 month old puppy

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Trupanion. They were quick to respond, compassionate and professional throughout the process. Our puppy ran out in front of a car and was badly hurt. She required immediate surgery to repair her diaphragm follow by a second surgery to repair her broken pelvis. She is 3 weeks post surgery and doing great. I was able to make the decision to save her based on the quick response by Trupanion and its insurance adjustors. Thank you again for putting our family back together. We are very grateful.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
