Our sweet little dog suffered a ligament tear in his left hind leg. He required surgery to repair it. Pets plus us insurance reimbursed us in 9 days. I’m so grateful for their support.

We have been with pets plus us since 2017 when we got our puppy. Recently we were double charged ( the month of december) great timing with christmas. We called to find out why and they said their mistake, they didnt charge the month prior so they had to double charge. While we were on the phone the staff was confirming all our information. We had realized that we hadn't changed our home address with them when we moved 2 years ago. We asked why this is important, she said it makes a difference for the payments. OK. We gave her our new address and she said the payment had dropped significantly. We were paying 76.00 monthly ( living in DT ottawa), and with our new address it dropped down to 35.00 which we were stocked about since we were already paying so mich monthly. We said we cannot back date but your next payment in Januuary will reflect the changes. Come January payment no changes made. We called to find out why only to be told thats not true and our payments did not change. Told them to refer to notes on call, listen to call recording of the phone call. We were rudly told theres nothing they can do and basically that we were making it up and our payments didn't change. When asked to speak to a supervisor/manager about the incident we were told the call back time was 8-10 bussiness days. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? 8-10 days to speak to a supervisor. This is ridicously. For long time customers. Totally unacceptable. I will be looking elsewhere.

On December 1st, as I was racing against time to get Thunder to the hospital, I called Pet Plus Us minutes before closing. A representative stayed on the line with me until all financial discussions with the hospital’s care coordinator were settled. This gesture of staying beyond working hours to assist a worried pet owner exemplifies their exceptional customer service. My gratitude towards Pet Plus Us is immense. Their coverage goes beyond transactions; it's about compassion and understanding the bond we share with our pets. They have not only provided financial support but have also given me peace of mind, ensuring that I can focus on what matters most - Thunder’s health and well-being. I had a very sick beagle on Christmas eve, and not wanting to wait until after Boxing Day for my regular vet office to be open I had to take Henry to the emergency vet hospital for treatment. We spent 13 hrs there and got home at 12:30am on Christmas Day. Thankfully he was okay after with some medication. I submitted my paperwork on Dec 27th and got my reply from Pets Plus Us on Jan 3/24 with our payment details. Excellent service, very happy I made the switch from Trupanion. A trial petsplusus insurance plan was provided to me when I adopted my cat from the local municipal shelter. I am glad to have decided to convert the trial plan into a continuous policy. For the past year and a half they have provided effective customer service and assistance with my claims.
