Coverage can include reimbursement for eligible: illnesses, injuries and accidents, hospitalization, surgery, hereditary conditions, diagnostics, prescription medications, alternative therapies, and behavioural therapies. Plus Additional Benefits such as, boarding for your pet if you’re hospitalized, holiday trip cancellation fees, lost pet advertising and reward, euthanasia, cremation, or burial.
You choose a reimbursement level of 70%, 80%, or 90%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill and includes coverage of eligible exam fees and taxes.
An optional wellness coverage add-on is also offered for an additional monthly cost.
Annual limit of $5,000 in Accident Only coverage, or $7,500 or $15,000 in Accident & Illness coverage annually, depending on your chosen plan.
$100 – $700 age-based annual deductible.
Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll.
There is no upper age limit.
Coverage begins after 48 hours for accidents. A policy waiting period of 14 days applies for illnesses.
All pet insurance plans have limitations and exclusions. Medical Conditions that are noted, symptomatic or diagnosed prior to enrollment, or during a waiting period are pre-existing to Coverage and not eligible for reimbursement.
All Accident & Illness policies are underwritten upfront so pet owners are aware of any pre-existing conditions that will not be covered prior to making a claim.
