So Grateful for this Insurance

About 2 weeks ago, my 8-year-old Dane mix Abby was rushed to the emergency vet where she was diagnosed with a hemoabdomen bleed. Subsequently, she was transferred to an emergency hospital where she had surgery and stayed through the weekend. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with cancer. Obviously, we are totally heartbroken over this development as she has been a happy and healthy girl up until this point. One comfort in this process is the knowledge that Pets Best is on our side. We enrolled her 2 years ago when she obviously had no health issues and I'm so glad we did. The tier of insurance we got for her means that after reimbursement, our out-of-pocket cost will be a very small fraction of the actual cost of her care. Knowing that made it so much easier for us to move forward with surgery and we'll continue on with chemotherapy; we just want as much time with our girl as possible as she is so sweet and precious to us. If we didn't have this insurance, I don't know how we could have covered the cost of her emergency care and surgery, much less ongoing treatment for her cancer. It breaks my heart to think we would have had to make a very different call due to our financial situation. I can wholeheartedly say that because of the wonderful doctors who cared for her and Pets Best, we are now lucky enough to have more time with our baby girl. Thank you Pets Best!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
