WORST WELLNESS PLAN EVER!!

My dog was born on 12/12/2021. I adopted my dog from Ohio on 08/13/2022 as a breeder surrender. Needless to to say, she was a puppy mill dog. The rescue received her at six months old, or so I was told, and they had her spayed, as rescues do. Her first wellness visit with my vet was 10/10/2022 (first available appointment after I adopted here). I purchased the wellness plan and have paid on this plan for four (4) months. I have been getting nothing but a runaround from this company asking for additional medical records, which I do not have any, including additional medical records from my vet, WHICH THERE ARE NONE!!! How stupid can people be??? Once we get this straightened out, I will be shopping for another pet insurance with a wellness plan, because I do not have the time nor the energy to battle a company over something so friggin ridiculous!!

Terrible claim service

I paid my monthly fee electronically through bank withdrawal. I submitted my first claim electronically, a photo accompanied by the proper docs. A while later a response came - they my photo was to blurry. Wasn't blurry on my end. Then they needed a paid receipt. The second paper showed the bill was zero balance. Then they wanted a bank receipt. I threatened with my lawyer, fraud and BBB, cancel my Pet insurance and return my premiums as this was timely and now months of frustration. They cancel and tell me to submit. I sent them the paperwork through snail mail. They declined one item. I understood but the entire claim. Again I contested. another letter and I am still waiting. this has been going on for months and absoring hours of my time. I do not recommed this Pet insurance company. Others are more reliable.

The ONLY Pet Insurance you will need

PetsBest has exceeded my expectations of what any pet insurance could offer. Claims are paid timely with detailed explanations and without hassle. I highly recommend Petsbest to all pet owners. This company operates with Integrity and Care about customers. Compared to another knockoff pet insurance rhymes with Retch by the Rodo. Avoid them at all cost.

Horrible Insurance-slow claims processing. Appeal process not well described.

My claim for my dog's injury was originally denied as pre-existing. I appealed the decision, and although decision was in my favor, it took over 3 months for final determination. In the meantime, I have accrued claims for continued care for my dog that I had to wait to submit, until decision was made.

When I signed up for wellness insurance…

When I signed up for wellness insurance it seemed like a much better idea than it does now. If you have your dog spayed they don’t pay for teeth. The flea and tick medication and heart worm medication are very limited. If I knew then what I knew now I would not have signed up. Read the fine print!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
