Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

Benefits are excellent and I have found the PetsBest very easy to work with. I'm not worried that if something happened to my Hazel, that there would be haggling over coverage.

You deduct my premiums on time but you dont pay the claims for a couple of weeks. You get paid immediately on my 2 pets. You never used to be this late but you have changed over the years. My pet that I just put down who was almost 15 was on HealthyPaws and they paid within 3-4 days turnaround time unless they needed medical records. You really need to work on your claims reimbursement timeframe.

We have had Pets Best for over 5 years. In 2019 our 2 year old Old English Sheepdog was diagnosied with cronic Kidney disease the bill was almost $4500.00 paid in full within 30 days. In 2022 she contracted Pneumonia after 7 days at Blue Pearl hospital she passed. this bill was $14,000.00 and and they paid the 90% within 45 days. Can't get much better.

Since day one of purchasing Pets Best for Zoey it has been an easy no hassle process. I submit my claims online and they are processed and paid very promptly.

The cost of medical care in the last two years of my sweet dog's life was around $10,000. When I brought home my new baby, I decided that it could make sense to purchase health care coverage for him to offset the big expenses that can occur throughout his life. I knew my baby would grow to around 3.5 pounds, so accidents can happen when they are so tiny. I purchased a Pets Best policy after reviewing it very carefully. Well, my baby was playing one day and his kneecap dislocated. This required an ER visit, and ultimately surgery. I found a board certified orthopedic surgeon and trusted his recommendation. He had a successful surgery. Based on a few negative reviews, I wasn't sure that PB would reimburse me as per the agreement, but they absolutely did. Staff were VERY nice to speak with, seemed concerned about my dog, and they processed my claim in 2-3 weeks which I consider timely. The EOB was easy to understand and consistent with the policy I purchased. It's VERY important that you review the details of your policy so you know exactly what you are purchasing. This avoids any disappointment when you do have a claim. You must understand the deductible, the co-pay, and any excluded expenses.
