Feeling Let Down

It’s disappointing to spend so much each month and find out HOW MUCH isn’t covered. I’m grateful it exists, but seriously, it seems like it ought to be more comprehensive; a return of $90 on a bill of $250 isn’t great. And last spring, claims used to take a day or two - now it’s a couple weeks. Really? Insult to injury. No longer sure this is the right plan or the right company.

Absolutely the worst insurance company

Absolutely the worst insurance company. I have been waiting over 58 days for a claim to be processed(total spent on vet in the last 58 days is $2200+). I have called over 10 times to check in on the claim and to make sure all documents were good. There were a few issues on my end that were resolved(incorrect pet name on records. The vet misspelled by ONE letter). I have emailed medical records and itemized receipts multiple times! Something is always wrong or missing. I had my vet call and ask exactly what they needed. The vet has emailed and sent fax records, items receipts and receipts paid. No one ever knows what is going on or how long more it will take to process. I have asked for the supervisor or manager, nothing. A few times I was tole everything was good and is being processed to only get an email, not even a call, to let me know something is missing. Emails were just generic emails, didnt specific spell out what needed to be done. It is so frustrating! I had 3 dogs signed up with petsbest since October 2021. After having to constantly check on my claim I removed 2 of my pets. They are losing business cause they don't have their act together. Avoid this company at all cost!

Couldn't Be Happier

I have never had pet insurance, however Pets Best is always easy to deal with. Submit claim and in a timely manner you get an EOB and reimbursement. Definitely 5 star company!!

Easy to submit a claim

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
