Good company BUT claims take FOREVER to proces

Good company but I stopped recommending to other pet owners becasue the claims take forever to process. I wrote this on one review and an employee responded basically saying tough stuff we are backed up; so not sure this review will actually be passed on to the appropriate people.

Fast and efficient!

Pets best is fast and efficient and easy. Just open up the app, take a pic of your bill answer and few questions and within a day or 2 your summary and explanation of benefits is in your email!

I recently lost my dog to cancer

I recently lost my dog to cancer. His diagnosis in January was so unexpected and devastating because he was only seven years old and had been very healthy. He received the best cancer treatments and palliative care available, which allowed him to live comfortably until the very end. I’m really glad we had Pets Best Health Insurance. Their policies and processes are easy to understand and transparent. Although caring for a dog with cancer was challenging in many ways, at least we didn’t have to worry about the medical cost. For that, we’re forever grateful.

Great policies and Service

I have had Pet’s Best for my three dogs since earlier this year and have had a couple of vet visits for my dogs for various issues. The claim submission process is very easy to complete and submit and they are very thorough in processing the claims. They are also very good at reaching out if they need additional information to process your claim. The coverage is excellent and the rates are great compared to a lot of other insurers which is one of the reasons I chose them. I am very happy with the Service they provide whether it is in speaking to someone or when submitting a claim. Claims are processed in a timely manner also so you get your reimbursement as quickly as possible. I would definitely recommend.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
