Pathetic Part 2

Pathetic Part 2 Well, we did as your response to our original "Pathetic" review, we called your customer service. They claimed it was denied because of our Bulldog having "Stenotic Nares". Hmmm, to correct Stenotic Nares the dog would have to have his nostrils widened via surgery. Every Vet web site outlines this quite well. As previously noted in our original "Pathetic" review our dog needed a reduction in soft palate. Below is taken from his ACTUAL MEDICAL RECORD ON THE ENCOUNTER DATE ... Physical Exam: 5) Respiratory: Increased upper respiratory noise, elongated soft palate, MILDLY stenotic nares – no Nasal discharge tracheal palpitation unremarkable, pulmonary auscultation clear bilaterally with referred laryngeal sounds Plan Recommended palate resection Hmm, don't see any mention of "Stenotic Nare" surgery... maybe because his assessment was MILDLY. And, by the way, he did have a Palate resection. Now we are waiting for you to send us your "appeal" form. I'm assuming you will be getting a "Pathetic 3" soon after. Hey... just a thought regarding customer service... call our Vet... she would be more than happy to educate you

Farley is pretty special to us

Farley is pretty special to us. We like the way Pets Best handled the two claims we submitted. Unfortunately, Farley is a lab puppy of 18 months and likes to put everything in his mouth. Sometimes it gets him into trouble. Thanks for your support while Farley grows up. Fred Underwood

SHADY RULES

I signed up for the Insurance for my dog and as luck would have it my dog got very sick suddenly before his waiting period was over (2 days before) ugh. They wouldn't cover any of the expenses because they deemed it a pre-existing condition, which was fine so I canceled the plan since they were not going to pay for anything, but they pro-rated me back to the day I started the plan, even though there was a 14 day waiting period that I couldn't use it and because he got sick during that time now they wont cover anything related to it but I'm supposed to pay for that time anyway. Got me once shame on you....wont get me again C-ya

Funky application of deductible.…

I would give 5 stars because my claim was handled very quickly, however, the way the deductible is applied is a bit funky. For example, if there is a $100 charge, only 80% of that is applied to the deductible. I have a $250 deductible, which actually turns out to be $300 the way it is applied.
