Their website has been down for weeks…

Their website has been down for weeks now and no one is responding to my claims submitted via email. This appears to be a new, common problem as indicated by comments all over their instagram page and reddit posts.

Great outcomes!

I have had Pets Best with Accident/Illness and Wellness coverage for 3 years now. Up until Dec 2025, I had only filed Wellness claims which were satisfactorily paid each time. In Dec 2025, my dog suffered a bad back injury that required an ER visit and then to a neurology specialty clinic. After an MRI, no surgery was required, but 1 month strict lockdown. I filed 2 claims right away, and while it took a full month for the claims to be processed, I was paid exactly as expected (90% minus deductible). My dog is recovering well, and I'm grateful to Pets Best for taking good care of our claims.

More than a week trying to process a…

More than a week trying to process a claim, receiving message try later. On hold for more than 25 minutes trying to reach someone. Is the company still in business or should I look for another provider. Please let me know. Thank you.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
