Pets best has rejected claim after…

Pets best has rejected claim after claim. They constantly raise their prices without paying out on covered claims. Absolutely the worst pet insurance out there. I strongly suggest staying far away from this company! Their website was down for months at a time, so even trying to submit a claim was frustrating. But it really didn't matter because they didn't pay out on most of their covered claims anyway. Even when they did pay it was next to nothing. I stayed with them way too long before I finally canceled. Again stay away, not an honest company!

Great experience with Pets Best

My dog was injured while I was walking him and my other two dogs. We were attacked by a German Shepherd. I didn’t know anything was wrong with any of the dogs until I got home and I saw puncture wounds on my four-year-old male Anakin. I took him out to the veterinary hospital Blue Pearl and they took care of him and I paid the bill and took him home a few hours later. I submitted my claim the same afternoon to Pets Best insurance. It was very easy to send in. I checked the information to see what my co-pay and my deductible was and had an idea of what they were cover and they covered it very quickly. I’m very satisfied with them. I had EMERGENCY accidental insurance only and I was very happy that I had that coverage because it worked out well for me and for my dog..

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
